The Premier League season is now in full swing as we approach the busy Christmas period. Chelsea are the surprise package as they continue to push the defending champions Manchester City and title rivals Liverpool at the top of the table. This has led to punters supporting them for the title, as many use the latest sign up bonus offers, with their price now contracting to just 8/1. Here we cover the top three players heading the market for the PFA Player of the year award at this early stage.

3) HARRY KANE

In at number three is England and Tottenham star, Harry Kane. He entered the season following winning the golden boot at the world cup in Russia, and will be hoping to bring that scoring form into the premier league. Kane is also a two-time winner of the Premier league golden boot and came close last season before being surpassed by Liverpool’s Salah. If Kane is to pick up the PFA Players Player award, then he will not only have to win the golden boot but lead Tottenham to some silverware. They have not won a trophy since their league cup success back in 2008 despite the vast amount of money spent.

2) DAVID SILVA

The Manchester City midfielder has been a legend since his arrival in England in 2010. He has continued to play a major factor in the rise of City since the takeover and again came to their savour with that late champions league winner at Hoffenheim. The Spanish playmaker is renowned for his passing and possession retaining abilities, which plays so well to how Guardiola likes his teams to play. If the 32-year-old can stay injury free and keep up his impressive level of form, then he could be a major contender for the award. Manchester City are likely going to need to defend their title for him to pick up the award come the end of the season.

1) EDEN HAZARD

The inform player in world football is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. He has long been regarded as one of the best players in the world but failed to pick up enough goals to enter the equation. Hazard recently led Belgium to their highest ever finish at a world cup in third, following their impressive victory over England in the third place play off. In the process he picked up the Silver ball finishing behind Modric. Hazard has brought that form in to this season and is the key reason behind Chelsea currently challenging for the league title. Hazard is sitting clear at the top of the scorer charts with several assists to his name. If Hazard maintains this form then he will win the PFA award, and could then finally push for that world’s best following the dominating period of Messi and Ronaldo over the last decade.
