Ligue 1: AS Monaco 4-0 FC Lorient

Coach Jardim comments on a controlled performance:

“We played very well in the first half. All coaches like it when their teams press well and play good football. We were not as strong in the second half and we made a few changes. We also have a match on Wednesday and so we only have two days’ rest. But we played well. Monaco, with our strengths and quality, did not let the opposition play.”

Nantes 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain. Nice is two behind behind Monaco and PSG with a three-point gap follows.

The next match on Sunday between PSG and Monaco is a must-watch to see if PSG can beat Monaco… PSG Coach Emery comments after the victory at Nantes:

“We returned from the winter break refreshed and determined to change what didn’t work in the first half of the season.

Monaco are very good, Nice are very good, Lyon aren’t far behind us. We could lose against Monaco [on Sunday] and still win the other 16 games and win the title. But it is clear that this is a major match. I think this competition is good for the French league and for the fans.”
