2019 MLS Season
The schedule was released for the upcoming Major League Soccer season with the Opening weekend on march 2. Expansion team FC Cincinnati will open their MLS history playing at the Seattle Sounders. Games will be played through Decision Day on Oct 6.

Opening day on March 2 – Seattle Sounders vs FC Cincinnati.
n expansion side’s first MLS match is always exciting. Last year the Sounders also hosted an expansion team [LAFC] and they fell at home 1-0. You would think Seattle learned from the inaugural home loss.
Minnesota United FC vs NYCFC on April 13
Minnesota United FC will inaugurate their new stadium, Allianz Field, on April 13th and it will be a game not to miss and a spectacle to be shown in a new environment.
NY Red Bulls vs Atlanta United on May 19
This will be the first meeting between the best two teams of last season and a rematch of the Eastern Conference final tie. The NY Red Bulls will certainly want to give a better copy of the 3-0 loss they suffered in the first leg of conference final playoff game.
Portland Timbers vs LAFC on June 1
MLS 2018 runners-up will play in their renovated stadium, Providence Park, for the first time. Portland kicks off 2019 with 12 consecutive away fixtures. The club requested while they await their home’s makeover to be complete.
LA Galaxy vs Toronto FC on July 4
For the 24th consecutive year, the Galaxy host an MLS match on Independence Day. It’s a doozy this year, with Sebastian Giovinco and co. arriving in Hollywood to take on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his teammates. Expect fireworks over 90 minutes, preceding the firework show on the pitch after the match for the 24th consecutive year.
LAFC vs LA Galaxy on August 25
El trafico derby will have its first edition and we all remember how wild it was last year when LAFC led 3-0 before turning the tie around and getting Zlataned 4-3 as the Swedish superstar made a splashing entrance into the MLS sphere.
