But hopes are high for the Three Lions and FC Bodog World Cup Odds will bring all the latest news and updates for Brazil.

Southampton 1-1 Manchester United

Giggs reacts:

“It’s obviously been a frustrating season, but I enjoyed that second half. “The players and fans were brilliant, and I didn’t want it to end. Southampton probably had the better of the first half, but as the game went on there was only going to be one winner. I’m really proud of the players today.

“The fans have supported us all throughout the season and they showed it again today; they never stopped. On behalf of the players and staff, I’d like to thank them. They’ve been brilliant this season; obviously they’ve been lucky to win so much over the years, but this year hasn’t been our year. As I’ve said before, we’ll come back bigger and better”.

Cardiff City 1-2 Chelsea

Mourinho reacts:

We deserved it, we played well, especially for an end-of-season game, when a team is playing for nothing apart from pride and evolution,’ he said. ‘The boys found the right approach, that we couldn’t find against Norwich. From the first minute we played well, we created chances.

‘The result at half time was a contradiction because we had all the play, all the chances, and Cardiff were winning the game. In the second half they pushed even harder, Andre was an extra man in attacking areas and we really deserved the victory.

Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle United

Rodgers reacts:

It has been an incredible campaign, 38 really competitive and tough games in the most competitive league in football. And they are the champions, so congratulations to them.

“My overriding feeling at the moment is one of sheer pride in the players. To finish the season winning 12 games out of 14 – we drew one and lost one – the players have shown an incredible level of consistency and quality in that period.

“Over the course of the season, to finish second behind Manchester City, we’d prefer to finish top, but it is a great marker of the progress we’ve made this season.”
