Coach Luis Enrique:
We did what we had to but the Copa del Rey game at San Mamés (in Bilbao) won’t be anything like what happened in this one”. Bilbao received an early expulsion after the five-minute mark which led to the rout 6-0.
“The game changed completely following the penalty. Things became more comfortable for us, it became a game that we had to close out, we had to work on positioning and on creating scoring chances,”
Luis Suarez who scored a hat-trick:
I am happy with the goals, but the most important thing is to win,” he said. ”We took advantage of the opportunities that came after the early expulsion.”

Sergio Busquets:
“With Gorka Iraizoz’s expulsion we had more chances.”
“Wednesday’s game will be different, competitive but attractive. Athletic will come out looking to score and they’ll play with a lot of intensity at their grounds, where they’ll have the support of their fans.”
“We hope to have Leo Messi and Jordi Alba on Wednesday.”
Javier Mascherano:
“We did enough to keep Athletic Club from getting opportunities. A team like that can complicate things.”
“Being ahead on the scoreboard always makes you play differently, but the objective was to keep on winning.”

“After the expulsion everything moved forward. On Wednesday in the Cup, we have to be careful against Athletic Club because we’ll be on their field and they’re even tougher in front of their fans.”
