With the Premier League nearing the end of the season thing are hotting up in the race for the 2017 Golden Boot Award. The usual contenders are dominating the list and at the moment Lukaku is leading the pack. He has a four-goal advantage over second placed Harry Kane but the Spurs striker is just back from injury so it will be interesting to see if he can catch the Everton forward.

- Alexis Sánchez – Arsenal FC – Goals 18

It was a huge mistake by Chelsea so sell Romelu Lukaku to Everton as the forward continues to prove he is one of the best in the world at finding the back of the net on a regular basis. The Blues are keen to resign the Belgium during the summer transfer window and will have to pay out a lot more than they sold him for if they are going to be successful. He is most pundits football betting tips favorites to win the award.
With the number of matches that Harry Kane has missed due to injury this season, it just goes to show how good he is to be sitting in second place. If he can continue his fine form before his recent injury he has a great chance of catching Lukaku. If the Spurs main man does manage it, then his team will have a great chance of winning the EPL and FA Cup double this season.
Sanchez has once again proved he is one of the best in the world but he has been very unsettled at the Emirates this season. If the Gunners do not qualify for the champions league at the end of the campaign, it is going to be very difficult for them to keep their star man.
Costa was rubbish last season but has shown this campaign why he is one of the most feared strikers in the world. Chelsea will need him to keep on scoring until the end of the season if they are going to manage the league and cup double. Most pundits football betting tips have the Blues as favorites to win the EPL but they will need Costa to play well to get them over the finish line.
At 35 years old Zlatan Ibrahimović performance this season defies logic. The reason The Red Devils are still in with a chance to qualify for the Champions League is down to his goals and leadership. If Man U manage to extend his contract so he plays at Old Trafford next campaign it will be interesting to see if age catches up with him or he continues to improve like fine wine.
Agüero has not been at his best this season but has still managed to rack up 16 goals. The biggest surprise in the list is Dele Alli who is the only player in the top six that does not play as a center forward. He is on fire at the moment and if he continues his recent form he has the chance of getting over the 20 goal mark, which would be an incredible achievement for someone so young and is only playing in his second season in the EPL.
