Juventus continue perfect start

Cristiano Ronaldo scores his first goals and brace for Juventus Turin and led his team to a 2-1 victory over Sassuolo.

The Portuguese had to wait for his fourth official match to find the net and has launched his season with his new team. Juventus is the only squad with four wins in four games in the League. The squad can now focus on Champions League coming up over the next few days.

Juventus coach, Allegri is happy for his player:

“He came very close in his first three games. I think he rushed a couple of chances today – it looked like he was absolutely desperate to score.

Football has a way of evening things out and that was the story of the first goal, with the ball bouncing off the post and sitting up for him. The second goal was brilliant. I’m happy for him.

Sassuolo are a good side. They made it hard for us in the first half, but they dropped off a bit in the second half and we were able to tip the game in our favour.”

Ronaldo also shared his relief on scoring for Juve:

“I’m really happy. Sassuolo played well, but we showed good intensity and created a lot of chances. I wanted to score, but the most important thing is to perform well and win matches.

“Of course there was a lot of attention on my move to Turin, but that’s life,” he said. “I’m happy, I’m working hard and my team-mates are really helping me to adapt to this league.”
