Premier League week 14:

The North London derby is always a special game. Arsenal came from behind in the second half to score four goals on its North London rivals. With the victory [4-2] the Gunners take fourth place in the standings in lieu of today’s opponents.

A tale of two halves

Arsenal perfectly started the game with the goal opener in the first ten minutes. But Tottenham came back in this game quickly at the half-hour mark with two consecutive goals. At the break the visitors were strong and in control.

Arsenal players came back from the Locke room with extra energy and turned the game around thanks to Aubameyeng and Lacazette who scored 3 of the 4 goals today.

Arsenal Coach Emery on the victory:

“This is a very big victory, we showed our supporters and we give them this victory because it’s a very special match against Tottenham. For us it’s the same – special, but above all it’s three points, like last week against Bournemouth, and like Wednesday in Manchester. Now we are happy, we are enjoying it, but short. Why? Because Tottenham lost today but they are on the same points as us in the table. We also need to continue in our way, in our process, and for our confidence it was a very big match. But don’t forget that they beat Chelsea last week in a very big match. Today they are close with us. Wednesday is a good example for us, we need to think about Manchester on Wednesday.

“Before I started the match I prepared in my mind different situations in the match. One was this. Why? Because Lacazette has very big efficiency in scoring against every team and because Aaron has experience against Tottenham and in derby matches. He has experience of coming back against big teams.

We know it’s very difficult in Manchester, in history and in present. We are going to prepare the best possible way to have the best performance against them. It will be difficult. It’s a big challenge for us and we want to have a lot of challenges like that.”
