Arsene Wenger reacts on Arsenal loss to Manchester CIty 1-0 on Sunday.

Sunday’s game could have gone either way.

It was a very intense match with both teams going for it and I feel that we were a bit unlucky. Joe Hart played well and we could have done without having to reshuffle our defence completely when Johan Djourou was injured. At half-time I felt that we could win the game if we remained stable at the back.

Despite the result, I thought we had a very positive performance. We showed great spirit and quality, but we lacked accuracy with our final ball at times. We finished the game with four strikers and just Ramsey and Arteta in midfield, so City were dangerous on the break. But we had chances and I really thought Thomas Vermaelen had scored right at the end.

There were a lot of positives on Sunday. The team has made a lot of progress since August and they can be proud of it. The team has a fantastic spirit, we have shown that again, and let’s hope we can continue our progress and get closer to City.
