Les Bleus just had to save their honour, or show a little courage, a little motivation. Finally, they really have been the most disappointing French team of all time. The loss against the Bafana Bafana (2-1) has just been the logical consequence of the masquerade that takes place since the beginning of the tournament. Saturday, we learnt Nicolas Anelka had insulted Domenech at the half time of the game against Mexico. Sad, very sad. Then his ban from the team caused what we could call a “strike”. The players refused to practice and allowed the entire European press to conclude that French people were lazy, arrogant and disrespectful. How can we blame our neighbours for that? Most of the squad earns a hundred times more than the average salary in France. How spoiled and stinking rich guys can refuse to play a World Cup? It is not an ordinary tournament. It’s a World Cup! A lot of people would be ready to sell their house and car to play for the national team at such a huge event…

Against South Africa, the dice were loaded. Gourcuff received an amazing red card for attacking the ball a little too frankly. France did not need that.
