Week 23: West Ham 2-2 Manchester City

Sergio Aguero scored a brace for Manchester City and brought a point back for a perilous game in London against West Ham. Coach Pellegrini reacts on a good point and on the fact that the Citizens are second two points behind Leicester, pending Arsenal’s result against Chelsea.

“It was not what we wanted before the game. If you analyse the whole game we had two or three clear chances to score. We hit the post and had one clear chance at the end but it was a difficult game.

“Kun played very well. He scored two goals, he made the penalty and he had another shot that hit the post. He’s a player that is at 100 per cent now and I’m very pleased with his performance.”

“Both teams had attacking players. West Ham have very difficult players so you must be very concentrated to try and stop them and with our team the same thing. That makes the game more open.

“We always try to play with creative and attacking players. It was important when we were losing 2-1 to put Kelechi on because he plays very well with Kun and that is what allowed us to score the second goal.”
