The Schulz Academy is placed in Boca Raton, Florida, and offers perfect conditions to play soccer twelve months a year. The Academy was founded by Dr. Josef Schulz, a former soccer player and coach from Europe. The academy didn’t take long to be successful, not least due to the outstanding abilities of Dr. Schulz as a coach, mentor and supporter of young soccer talents.

The list of achievments is long and include being ranked 5th out of all clubs in the country by Soccer America, winning the five National Championships at the Super Y-League finals and having a record of 17 Schulz Academy players in Youth National Teams between the years 2007 and 2008. But the most impressive achievement of Dr. Schulz was the discovery of Josmer Altidore. The Austrian made Altidore to one of the greatest soccer talents in the history of the United States.

The training of the academy is based on the experiences of Dr. Schulz, which he uses to transform the talents into players that are ready to become professionals in Europe. That means the coach unites the natural athleticism of Americans with tactical demands of European clubs. Additionally, the numerous hours in a fitness club and the special beach training prepare the body of each talent for being competitive in Europe. “For me it is important to see every player as an individual and my goal is to work with every participant on his own strengths and weaknesses“, Dr. Schulz says.

The examples of Shawn Barry and William Suedois, who were long-time players of the Schulz Academy and signed recently their first pro contracts in Austria, show once more that the Schulz Academy possesses the specialized knowledge of developing young talents for Europe. In addition, it points out how important it is to have numerous contacts at European soccer clubs, like Dr. Schulz has.

The latest project of the academy is a full-time boarding program for soccer players in the age of 15 – 21. The conditions in South Florida and the infrastructure at the Schulz Academy are ideal for a soccer residency program.  The project includes a wide range of important services like soccer specific nutrition, transportation to and from the training, usage of the infrastructure for recuperation and physiotherapy, usage of the training and match facilities of Schulz Academy and matches on the highest possible level. Finally, the marvelous apartments for the boarders with all important features like cable TV with soccer channels, internet, air condition, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher and a kitchen makes this boarding program something special.  Unlike any other residency program, players get to train on the field twice a day, 12 months a year.

If you want to follow into Josmer Altidores footsteps, become a part of the Schulz Academy boarding program!
