Ligue 1 day 4: AS Monaco 0-3 Paris Saint-Germain

Reactions:

Nasser Al Khelaïfi (Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO): “I am very happy with the result, but also with the quality of our play. It’s important to play attractive football. We have won our first four games of the season so I’m amply satisfied. Now we have our next Ligue 1 match in two weeks and then the start of the Champions League.”

Laurent Blanc (Paris Saint-Germain coach): “of our first four matches this season, we have played three away, but we have still picked up 12 points, which is excellent. We have made a very good start to the season by playing the same way, home and away. That’s what we have to do this season.”

Angel Di Maria (Paris Saint-Germain forward): “It was a great game. I’m very happy, because we wanted to win and get the three points and that’s what we have done. It’s a great start. I was so impatient to play that I didn’t feel any pressure at all.”

Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain forward): “It was a very important match for us on many levels, especially since we haven’t won here for several years. We were the better side and we are delighted with the win.”

Blaise Matuidi (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder): “It was important to build on our good start to the season. We played very well against an excellent Monaco side and we scored three goals. We have maximum points as we head into an international break. Now we have to maintain this form for the visit of Bordeaux in two weeks’ time.”
