Ligue 1: Lyon 2-1 PSG

Paris Saint-Germain will inevitably wins the Ligue 1 for the 4th consecutive time but this loss makes a stop to the record run of the club and a serious warning only a few days before going to London to face Chelsea in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Here are the reactions after the game:

Laurent Blanc (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
“If I had explanations, I would give them to my players. Nothing in our preparation suggested we would play so poorly. Lyon were the better side and deserved their win. They were much better than us in terms of their attitude. That was the key factor. They walked all over us and we didn’t answer the challenge. We had prepared well for this game. Were we too relaxed? I don’t know. We need to use this result to bounce back against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday.”

David Luiz (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
“It’s our first defeat. I think Lyon played better than us today. Congratulations to them. I think Lyon played very well. That’s the way it goes, that’s football. Were we thinking about Chelsea? No. We were thinking about Lyon, but we didn’t play well. We scored one goal in the second half, but we were tired. We made mistakes. The loss? Paris plays every game to win. Sometimes it’s not possible.”
