Man United Lack Everything
Manchester United’s disastrous start of the Premier League season got worse in Newcastle. The Red Devils lost 1-0 and sit in the second half of the standings with just 9 points in 8 games.
At this rate, the coach appointed last year in replacement of Mourinho, is likely to be sacked during the international break. Manchester United are very well on their way to another season outside of the top 4 and no Champions League berth.
Solskjaer might have addressed the media for the last time as manager
“We’re disappointed, of course we are. We do lack quite a few key players but that’s no excuse. The players worked hard, they ran their socks off but at the moment we’re in a position we’re not used to.
The boys, some of them, lack that little bit of composure and confidence in the last bit and you can tell. We don’t create enough chances to win a game of football.
Luckily for us it’s now the international break. We get time to evaluate what’s been going on in the first eight games. Many of the games have been very similar.
Of course we have analysed throughout but now is a period when we will sit down. Hopefully we’ll get a few players back. It’s my responsibility and I need to sort their heads out. That’s the main thing because young boys who are maybe lacking confidence, they need some help from the experienced players and us as staff. We’re working hard to find it.”
