What a run for the Citizens who won their tenth straight win in the Premier League. It’s the team seventh straight away win and they earn 34 out of 36 possible points! In a League so competitive as the Premier League this is an exceptional achievement so far.
Therefore the Citizens now enjoy are now nine points clear at the top of the League and can focus next on the Champions League. Guardiola’s squad is full of talents and it will be very hard to stop them this season in the League and who knows maybe they can push it further in the Champions League too?
Coach MCFC Pep Guardiola share his views on the match:
“It’s always complicated after internationals but I’m not surprised by my players. Here in Leicester it’s always complicated with throw-ins, corners, their movement in behind and Mahrez. We controlled the game again, we didn’t suffer and it’s three more points.”
Belgium international De Bryune scored a fantastic goal today. This is what he had to say:
“We feel confident in the way we are playing. We want to win every game. It’s a tough process because we have a busy schedule but we’re doing really well. We didn’t create too many chances but the goal before half-time helped us.
The second goal helped us because obviously, we have a two-goal advantage and then we were able to play our game because they then have to come at us a little more. We are able to pass the ball around. We could have scored more but we did very well. They had very few chances. It was a good game for everyone.”
