The LA Galaxy announced today that the club will open their 2011 preseason camp on Monday, January 24 at The Home Depot Center. All contracted players and trialists will begin reporting for physicals, testing and a week of fitness training starting on January 24 before heading out onto the field for the first time on Monday, January 31.

Similar to last season, the Galaxy are scheduled to remain in Southern California for the majority of the preseason, with all training sessions to be held at The Home Depot Center. A complete list of preseason matches and any training camps away from The Home Depot Center will be announced at a later date.

The Galaxy kick-off the season just over two months after camp opens, on Tuesday, March 15 when they head to Seattle to take on the Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field in MLS First Kick 2011, presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods. That game, which will kick off at 6:30 p.m., will be shown live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, as well as online at ESPN3.com.

The Galaxy will then host the New England Revolution in their home opener at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 20 at The Home Depot Center. For more information about this game or to purchase tickets, please visit the club’s official website at www.lagalaxy.com.
