Barclays Premier League: QPR 0-1 Chelsea (Fabregas 88′)
Jose Mourinho give his verdict:
“It was a typical 0-0. I think we played well in the circumstances. The opponent didn’t let us play better.
‘I’m very happy with my team because we always kept good emotional control, we never lost balance and we were not under pressure. If we had to go home with a point we would have gone home with a point. We were always very stable and we scored at the crucial moment.
‘We controlled them very well, and we kept them far from the box which is where Austin and Zamora are killers. They were very well organised defensively, and they gave us a difficult match in terms of our creation.
‘I feel sorry for them because they fought hard to try to get the point. It was a very difficult game. One point would be fair, but these three points are fantastic for us.’
Fabregas’s goal was our only shot on target during the game
‘It’s difficult to play here – the pitch is small and slow, and 1.30pm is maybe not the best time to develop a game with intensity.
‘It was a very defensive game from their point of view so it was difficult to create – for Fabregas, for Willian and for Hazard.
‘We played with our striker that is the best one as a target man. Remy and Diego Costa are more dangerous attacking spaces and making runs behind defenders, so we had to adapt our game.’
