UEFA Champions League Final 2015.

Juventus FC coach – Massimiliano Allegri:

“We played well from a technical and a tactical perspective, but we did struggle at times when they switched play. That said, we had plenty of shots on goal ourselves. We did everything we could. We were playing against Barcelona after all.

“The two goals we conceded tonight will serve us well and help us to improve, especially the second one. When you’re up against a side with so many world-class players you know you can concede at any moment.

“All the same, I want to congratulate my lads once again for their superb showing this evening. We’ve had a massive season and not only because of everything we’ve won. We’ll start again from here and look to consolidate our position among the top eight clubs in Europe.”

Gigi Buffon:

“There are moments of intense joy and then there are moments of disappointment. That’s what sport is all about; you just have to accept it. We’ve lost tonight but we’ve had a magnificent year and enjoyed incredible success with our fans. I must admit that for a few minutes I really thought we were going to do it.”

Alvaro Morata (who scored for Juventus):

“We had this chance for glory but couldn’t pull it off,” he acknowledged.

“Now we have to get our heads down again and work on becoming an even better team, on winning even more trophies. We’d like to thank all our fans who came here for us tonight.”
