On January 12, at the Major League Soccer SuperDraft in Kansas City, the top-flight professional soccer league in the United States and Canada, announced an alliance with the Boy Scouts of America, providing avenues for the league to support the BSA’s youth-focused program of athleticism, character and leadership.  Scouts across the nation in MLS markets are already receiving special programming and connection opportunities at MLS games.

 

Chivas USA soccer team in Los Angeles has partnered with the Boy Scouts Los Angeles Area Council.  Through the council’s focus on healthy living, Los Angeles Area Scouts will be provided access to MLS players, coaches, league and club executives, and unique programming tailored just for them. Future plans include on-field activities, a ceremony at Home Depot Center, and “Scout Nights” that support the local council’s recruiting and retention efforts.  Print, website and television marketing opportunities have also been made available to the council, as well as VIP events to take place later this year.
