CARSON, Calif.– Chivas USA fell to Real Salt Lake by a 2-0 score on Tuesday afternoon in Casa Grande, Ariz., in the second of three scrimmages the team will play at Grande Sports World during the week-long training stint. The Red-and-White will play the Vancouver Whitecaps on Friday before returning to Los Angeles.

Chivas USA started the match with a group similar to the eleven that finished last Saturday’s scrimmage against the Seattle Sounders, and after a scoreless first half, the team made wholesale changes around the 60 minute mark. Just after the substitutes came on, Salt Lake took advantage while the Red-and-White were getting settled, with defender Jamison Olave scoring on a header off an Andy Williams corner kick. In the 72nd minute, Will Johnson hit RSL’s second goal, coming off an assist from Alvaro Saborio.
