I predicted it months ago…Chelsea would win the EPL Title. They had too much balance, too much confidence and hunger. Sure enough, on Sunday they did just that.

It was nice to see that they didn’t leave any doubt, pounding Wigan into submission and what should be relegation with an 8-0 victory at Stamford Bridge. Do you know how much money you would have to pay me to watch Wigan play? Doesn’t matter, because no matter how rich you think you are, it wouldn’t be enough.

The bad teams just look so…so bad when they play quality sides.

Drogba took home the Golden Boot Award and the club looks destined to take the Double this year unless something miraculous happens this weekend at Wembley when they face a relegated but surely excited for this last-opportunity-in-the-limelight Portsmouth squad.

In Major League Soccer, you’ve got to wonder what is happening to Seattle up in the Northwest. Last place in the west? Giving refunds to fans? Not good…not good at all. Maybe the huge crowds are inspiring the away teams too much? They should take a page out of the FC Dallas playbook and have nobody show up to watch them play one weekend and maybe the other team won’t want to play either.

On Tuesday United States National Team Coach Bob Bradley will announce the 30-man squad that will start training for the World Cup…don’t be surprised to see these names in the mix.

Frankie Hejduk – You all know me well enough to know that I don’t believe in this pick, but he’ll be there….because he’s got lots of energy. Great compliment for a player…

Eddie Johnson – Nobody can resist a striker that can get behind defenses.

Freddy Adu – He’s got to be given the opportunity…Robbie Rogers has faded at outside mid and besides Holden, who do you go to out wide if you have to go to your bench?

Make your own list and see how it matches up to Coach Bobs. The biggest surprise omission you’ll see tomorrow?

Hercules Gomez – it’ll be inexcusable…but it’ll happen. Just watch.
