Week 18 Boxing Day: Chelsea 3-0 Bournemouth

There no superlatives to qualify the incredible run form Antonio Conte‘s men. Chelsea has now won a record-breaking 12 consecutive Premier League games and have a comfortable margin on top of the table. For his first season as Chelsea’s coach the former Juventus coach is doing miracles, his predecessor Jose Mourinho miserably failed to do so…

Conte reacts after the 12th consecutive win:

‘We played against a good opponent. They tried to stop our runs, and they changed formation to play with three at the back, maybe for the first time. We must be prepared for this change. This game was very tough. I’m pleased because it isn’t easy to win 12 in a row. The players deserved this. They are showing me great focus, concentration, attitude and behavior.

We sent a good message today, in general. A lot of people waited for us, without two really important players [Diego Costa, photo, and Kante], to lose points, but it didn’t happen. I can count on all my players in the squad. From these 12 games we took 36 points. Our position is fantastic now. The record is not important if at the end you don’t reach something important in your championship, but me with my players to have this record, we are proud. Now we want to continue until the end. It won’t be easy, starting with another tough game against Stoke City.’
