Dr Reinhard Rauball (Dortmund’s president): “We beat the second place team, we beat the third place team and we beat the fourth place team. If ever there is a team that deserves to be champions, it is us. The crowd is just unique. If it didn´t exist you would have to invent it.”

Mario Götze: “We really wanted to win this game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, irrespective of the result of Bayern´s game. It´s one of our qualities again this year that we always give 100 percent. That´s why we gave the right answer.”

Kevin Grosskreutz: “The team, the coach, the whole region deserve it. We played the best and most passionate football over the whole season. And this after many expected us after Matchday six to end up somewhere in the middle of the table. We showed everybody what this team is capable of. The level of solidarity in the team and with the fans is absolutely unique in the Bundesliga. We are just happy.”

Ivan Perisic: “When I joined Dortmund I wanted to experience something like this, to celebrate such a moment in front of 80.000 people. My dream has come true. I have always worked hard in training and deserved this goal against Gladbach. But what´s really important is that we clinched the title.”

Chris Löwe: “It´s a great feeling. I still can´t quite believe it, it will take a few days. At the moment I´m just happy. I didn´t dare to dream about something like this when I came here. That it now happened is just great.”

Sebastian Kehl: “The set-up wasn´t easy today, but we achieved it by our own merits. The whole season we only looked at ourselves and not what other the teams were doing. That´s why it was so important today that we win this game against Mönchengladbach.”
