Bundesliga matchday 7

Bayern Munich have fallen to 5th place in Bundesliga following a very uninspired home defeat to Borussia M’Gladbach. The game did not turn in favor of Bayern at anytime and quickly was out of hands with two early goals. The final score of 3-0 in of the worst defeats for the Bavarians in year.

Exit coach Kovac?

Four games in a row without a win for the mighty Bayern Munich team and it seems that coach Kovac is in immediate danger to lose his job after just a few months as head coach. The past two weeks have been pretty bad for a team that more talents in the Bundesliga than any other team.

His reaction after the loss:

“We got off to a good start, and then it was the same as against Augsburg and Hertha Berlin: we made individual mistakes, and you get punished fot them at this level, in the Bundesliga. Besides, we failed to take our chances.

The goals we conceded in the first half stripped us of our confidence. Gladbach did a very good job, with a tight midfield, they doubled up on us on the wings, so it was hard to find a way through. That’s why we have to accept this defeat, which really hurts.”

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer:

“We got off to a good start. We conceded the first goal out of nothing and did not find a way through up front. We didn’t have clear-cut chances. Then we conceded the second one and had to chase them again. You can tell every player wants it, everybody’s motivated and has the right attitude.

The second goal was a punch in the face, it had an impact on us. It wasn’t exactly easier to play then. After half-time we wanted to play as we did in the beginning. We had our chances in the last few matches, we just failed to take them. We didn’t even create these chances today. That’s not Bayern, and it’s not enough.”
