The 2012 African Cup of Nations Local Organising Committee (Cocan) members have announced that the tournament’s mascot named GAGUI – short for Gabon and Guinea – would be presented on Feb.12 in both – Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The Cocan secretariat says decisions were reached by members from both countries during a joint meeting held in Franceville in Gabon last week.

Ticket prices were also discussed during the meeting. It is still too early to fix prices but members agreed on the need to adopt moderate amounts, taking into consideration the modest purchasing power of the populations of both countries, according to reports.

The committee also agreed to implement the standards imposed by CAF on the capacity of stadiums: 40 000 seats for the opening and final matches, while the semi-finals will be held in Libreville and Bata (Equatorial Guinea) and third place match in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea).
