RALEIGH, N.C. / PORTLAND, Ore.- Adidas today announced a 10-year partnership extension with one of America’s most successful youth soccer clubs, the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) of Raleigh, N.C.
Building off their long-standing 15-year partnership, the extended agreement will create new national soccer events and support the construction of a new Field Turf community field. adidas will continue to support CASL tournaments and outfit the coaching staff and academy teams. “The United States has some of the best athletic talent in the world and its part of our goal at adidas to make sure our homegrown athletes have opportunities to play elite soccer,” said Antonio Zea, director of soccer for adidas America. “We share a long-term vision with CASL to develop the elite game here in America and look forward to continuing to work together to develop the next generation of American soccer stars.”
“I and CASL are pleased to extend our long standing relationship with adidas,” said Charlie Slagle, CASL chief executive officer. “adidas is soccer in this country and we are honored to be wearing the three stripes throughout our entire club’s three divisions. This lengthy commitment from both parties strengthens CASL’s already strong relationship with adidas.”
CASL is a non-profit corporation established in 1974 and with more than 800 teams is the largest soccer club in North Carolina. The club is home to more than 20,000 players, coaches, officials, parents, volunteers and supporters and serves the greater Raleigh area and its youth from ages 4 to 18 at all levels of play.
