Fresh off their first win of the year, a 3-1 triumph over D.C. United on Sunday afternoon, the LA Galaxy announced today that seven of the club’s principal corporate partners have returned for the 2012 MLS season. adidas, Athlete’s Performance, Continental Tire, Konica Minolta, Macy’s, UPS and Welk Resorts Group will all remain as a part of the Galaxy family.

“We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with all of our clients,” said Bill Pedigo, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships. ‘The renewal of these partners and the continuation of rest of the Galaxy partner portfolio has vaulted the club to tremendous year over year growth and keeps Galaxy at the top of the MLS charts in terms of partnerships.”

Those seven partners will again be joined by Herbalife, who announced a 10-year, $44 million extension of their partnership with the Galaxy to remain the club’s official presenting sponsor and jersey sponsor on Friday.

adidas, a long time sponsor of the Galaxy and MLS, will continue its extensive involvement in the team’s grass roots, youth development and supporter group efforts. adidas will also serve as the title sponsor for the Galaxy’s game against the Portland Timbers at The Home Depot Center on Saturday, June 17.

The official training performance provider of the Galaxy, Athlete’s Performance return to help the Galaxy continue their on field success by providing integrated performance training and educational support. Athlete’s Performance will continue to operate its training facility, which is used daily by Galaxy players, out of The Home Depot Center.

Continental Tire returns for its third season as a Galaxy partner as it expands on its relationship with MLS through an integrated package of signage, on-site activation and corporate hospitality

Konica Minolta enters its fifth season as a Galaxy partner with a continuation of its well rounded package which includes exposure via on-field signage, sponsorship of in-stadium replays, print advertising and hospitality.

UPS and Macy’s both return with Hispanic Heritage Night integration in 2012. Macy’s furthers its sponsorship of the Galaxy with promotional team involvement around the back to school time frame as well as integration into the Galaxy Drive Series, while UPS continues sponsoring the in-stadium ‘Ground Rules’ feature.

Finally, the Welk Resorts Group returns for its fifth season with the team with online and on-site integration.

In addition to the seven partners listed above, and Herbalife, the Galaxy continue to negotiate to align the club with additional partners for this season and into the future.
