By now everyone in the United States should recognize Nike’s CTR 360 Maestri Elite cleats. The flash of silver and orange you saw strike the ball for the game winning goal that put the U.S. into the knockout stages was none other than Nike’s CTR 360 Maestri Elites. While many may think that these boots are identical to the CTR 360’s, they are sadly mistaken.

First and foremost, the color scheme is entirely different. The Mach Purple (which actually looks silver) and bright orange make these cleats extremely visible on the field. Furthermore, the Kanga-Lite synthetic leather and carbon fiber sole helps shed 1.8 ounces from its standard counterpart. The softness of the Kanga-Lite synthetic leather offers supreme comfort and softness.

This boot is incredibly versatile and offers an impressive sense of touch and control. With specifically placed and technically advanced shape-correcting memory foam and an injected instep pass pad, the Nike CTR 360 Maestri Elite allows for excellent distribution and touch. However, as a player, I seek a boot that is technically advanced but offers comfort. The Nike CTR 360 Maestri Elite goes miles in the comfort department as you can take the boot from the box to the field with little to no break in time. At $299 the boot is a tad bit pricey, but believe me they are worth every penny. If you are looking for a boot that combines supreme touch, control, accuracy and comfort while not sacrificing weight, or you just want to envision yourself as Landon Donovan scoring the most memorable goal of your career then the Nike CTR 360 Maestri Eilite is the boot for you.
