NOTE: If you’re new to digital magazines, all we ask is that you take a little time to learn some basic techniques to enhance your experience before you render a judgment. We realize reading a digital magazine is very different than reading a printed version, but in time it may become your preferred method. Let’s face it, digital is the way of the future and with a little patience we think you’ll come to appreciate all the benefits a digital magazine offers over a paper-wasting printed version.

To get started: Click on the OPEN & READ button from our homepage to view the current issue of 90:00. You’ll see a window that looks something like this:

Example of how the magazine opens to the current cover image.

Tip: Make your browser window as large as possible to fill your screen. This allows for better zooming and reading.

In the standard-view mode you should be able to read headlines and photo captions allowing you to easily scan for articles of interest. You probably won’t want to try and read the articles at this view but you can get a good feel for the overall magazine by skimming the pages.

Standard-View. Use this view to browse the magazine looking for articles
of interest and getting a feel for the issue.

Use your mouse and the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen to perform basic functions like turning pages and searching. The progress bar shows what page you’re on.

Move your mouse over a page and it will become a magnifying glass. Now you can click on any part of that page to zoom in on an area and scroll around to other parts of the page.

Default zoom level upon first click to zoom.

Tip: Use the plus (+) and minus (–) keys to continue to zoom in and out.

Once you find your desired magnification level you can turn pages by clicking the left and right arrows on either side of the screen, and for convenience, the magnification level will remain the same. Click again anywhere on the page to zoom back to standard-view.

Tip: You can also use your keyboard arrows to turn pages left and right at any time.

Once zoomed in, simply moving your mouse from the top to the bottom of the screen will scroll the page.

Tip: Upon opening the magazine, click to zoom in and then hit the minus (-) key once to zoom out one level. This view should allow most people to read comfortably while maintaining a better overall view of the page.

Shows optimal zoom level for most readers. Just click once to zoom, then hit minus (-) key.

Tip: Move your mouse over elements on a page and anytime your cursor turns to a hand pointer, you can click on that item and link to another part of the magazine (i.e. most of the table-of-contents are clickable elements and will link to the appropriate page for the related story).

We encourage you to practice a bit with these techniques and once you are familiar with them, reading our digital 90:00 Soccer Magazine will become second nature. And as we develop new and innovative ways to take advantage of the digital capabilities, we believe you will find yourself wondering why you were so attached to any paper-based magazine in the first place.

We thank you for taking the time to review these tips and we hope your reading experience becomes more enjoyable with each new issue. Best, 90:00
