All USL Clubs to Be Represented During Yearly Meetings in the Alamo City

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC will host the 2016 USL Operations & Sales Summit in the Alamo City from Nov. 7 to Nov. 9, the club announced today. All USL clubs will be represented at the annual meetings.

The USL Operations and Sales Summit is an annual event that provides workshops and training to USL clubs and their selected staff on ticket sales, sponsorship, game operations and team operations among other areas. The three-day program will also include tours and insight into Toyota Field and STAR Soccer Complex, the home stadium and training complex for San Antonio FC, as well as evening networking socials for USL and club staffs.

“We are delighted to welcome the USL and top executives from its clubs to our wonderful city for what is sure to be an enjoyable and productive several days of meetings,” said SAFC Managing Director Tim Holt. “The USL continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and San Antonio FC takes pride in being able to provide a great venue for this annual best practice and idea sharing forum.”

San Antonio FC, which just completed his first year in existence, will host the meetings in the Alamo City for the first time. SAFC was one of six USL expansion franchises during the 2016 season, ranking fourth in the league and second in the Western Conference in average attendance (6,170) while also setting a new Toyota Field attendance record on April 9 (8,466).

USL clubs and their staff will stay downtown at the Crockett and Menger Hotels while also having the opportunity to experience the rich San Antonio culture in the heart of the city. Last year’s USL Operations and Sales Summit were held in Tulsa, home of the Roughnecks FC.
