Ronaldino has signed a new contract with Atletico Mineiro to end speculation about his future.
The former Ballon d’Or winner was linked with a move to Europe on the bet365 website, where Besitkas in Turkey were one of the clubs thought to be tracking the player.
The 33-year old is hoping to be in Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari’s squad for the World Cup in his home country later this year.
Fans who gamble with bet365 will recall that Ronaldinho was part of the Brazil side which won the competition in 2002 in South Korea and Japan. He has picked up 97 caps for his country so far in his career but has not featured since April.
The Brazilian playmaker moved to Atletico Mineiro in 2010 after spending three years with Flamengo.
He has since scored 16 for the Lourdus based club and been part of their success in the Campeonato Mineiro and Copa Libertadoes in 2003.
Ronaldinho spent 10 years of his career in Europe in which he played in three different countries. He moved across to the continent in 2001 to sign for Paris Saint-Germain in France.
It was his spell in Spain where he went on to become one of the best players in the world as he helped Barcelona to win La Liga twice and the UEFA Champions League in 2006. Whilst at the Nou Camp, he won a number of individual honours including the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2004 and 2005, while he also was awarded the Ballon d’Or crown in 2005.
The World Cup winner left Barcelona in 2008 and spent three years in Italy for Milan playing in Serie A. That proved to be his last spell to date in Europe as he moved back to be Brazil when Flamengo signed him in 2010.
