After leaving Atletico Mineiro, rumours have surfaced that Ronaldinho may be eyeing a move to the Australian A-League.

Legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho has parted ways with Atletico Mineiro and is currently a free agent. The talismanic playmaker helped his side defeat Lanus to win the Recopa Sudamericana in his last game with the club, and then said his farewells to his teammates after the game.

With the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year without a club for the 2014/15 season, and the transfer window quickly closing, rumours have swirled regarding where the 34-year-old striker will be heading. One of the most promising transfer rumours sees the striker heading down under to join an Australian A-League side. Lou Sticca, a player agent that has already managed to lure Alessandro Del Piero to an A-League side, has hinted that movement is already happening behind the scenes to bring Ronaldinho to Australia.

The striker has already formed part of world-beating sides for Barcelona, AC Milan, and the World Cup-winning Brazilian national team. Few will forget his 40 yard free kick against England in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, a goal that many believe launched his career as an international superstar.

Ronaldinho has favored playing in countries that offer much the same of what he is used to in his home country, Brazil. With several similarities, plus a higher standard of living, it is easy to see why a potential move to Australia is so attractive. The Australian climate and coastal cities should also help the striker to feel at home down under. The laid-back Aussie lifestyle could even give him a chance to enjoy his favourite online casino games at Euro Palace casino.

Although there is a strong case for the move to the A-League, there has also been interest from an as yet unidentified MLS team. With many aging European legends making the move to MLS for huge signing bonuses and salaries, this potential move seems to be equally as logical for the talismanic Brazilian , as moving to Australia.
