AS Monaco 1-1 Paris Saint Germain

 Laurent Blanc (Paris Saint-Germain coach)

“We were expecting anything from the Monaco coach Claudio Ranieri, who I know very well. We controlled the first half very well and opened the scoring. In the second half, it was a little more difficult. We conceded an unlucky goal, but Monaco also had chances. In the final minutes, both sides went for the win, as attackers were introduced off the bench.

Paris and Monaco both had chances to win it and it finished 1-1, like in the first game. Both teams are having an excellent championship and have distanced the chasing pack. We hope to continue at this rhythm.”

Thiago Silva (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
“Paris Saint-Germain are a great team with a lot of quality, but Monaco are also a very good team and they defended very well. It was a very tough game. We just lacked a little something extra in this game. For the goal (O.G. goal for 1-1 tie) I knew there was an attacker behind me and I wanted to clear the ball, but it didn’t go my way. It was just one of those things.”
