The Holidays season at the end of the year is always a tradition in England and usually a turning point in the Premier League. Chelsea will play a total of 4 games in the Barclays Premier League games in just 11 days.

Chelsea’s manager has rebuilt a beautifully sturdy side. The tactics have been solid and the results have been superb. As for all the team engaged in the Christmas period run, managers have to tweak their lineup and adjust their squad to a very busy schedule ahead allowing enough rest and turnovers in between games. Mourinho shares his view on this upcoming challenge for Chelsea:

‘Everybody has to play these four matches in this short space of time so everybody is in the same circumstances,’ he said. ‘Obviously some are lucky to have easier fixtures in this period but that’s a draw and you can’t do anything about that. For us it’s difficult: three matches away and only one at home.

‘Even the one we have at home will be a London derby against one of the best teams in the competition and the three matches away are Tottenham, Southampton and Stoke so it’s difficult for us but we are ready.’

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger added that “It’s a very important period now. How you come out of the Christmas period is of course very important.”

Coach Manchester United, Louis Van Gaal, considers the schedule “ridiculous, because a lot of matches in so few days is, in my opinion. “That is why I think I have to rotate, but then the players have to be fit and not every player is fit with us. We have to play these two matches [Newcastle on 26 December and Tottenham on 28 December] and that is normal in the Premier League. I cannot change that.”

Finally Coach Manchester City Pellegrini is eager to win as many games as possible. “It is important t have to  win our games. Our target is to be champions. We are nearly half way through the season. We need to keep going and continue the good and positive run we have at the moment. We need to take the maximum of points”.

The stage is set for an exciting Holidays season in the Premier League!
