La Liga week 17: Villareal 1-1 FC Barcelona
When Barcelona needs a savior, they turn to Leo Messi who came to the rescue late in the game to tie the game thanks to a wonderful free-kick, already his second in 2017! But, Barcelona falls to third place with the tie, 5 points behind Real Madrid and one point behind FC Sevilla.
Coach Luis Enrique comments on the late equalizer:
“The team deserved more, we deserved to win, but football is not always fair.” They barely lost though… He continues: “Villarreal are a team that try to play, they have quality players. They know their style of play well, with and without the ball.”
