Number 10: Edmundo Suárez with 195 Goals

Affectionately known as Mundo, Edmundo Suarez was a legend of Valencia who practically defined the physical centre-forward role.

Number 9: Pahiño with 210 Goals

Even though he only played a couple of seasons in the Spanish Segunda Division, Manuel Fernández Fernández, or Pahiño, nonetheless managed to rack up enough goals to make the Top 10 list.

Number 8: Quini with 219 Goals

Enrique Castro González, also known as Quini, has managed to take the Pichichi award 5 times in La Liga: 3 times with Sporting Gijon, and twice with Barcelona. It was at Gijon that he made his name however, and this is where he became recognised as one of the greatest strikers Spain has ever seen.

Number 7: César Rodríguez Álvarez with 223 goals

César Rodríguez Álvarez’s career managed to span almost 20 years, 13 of which he spent at Barcelona. Although he only won the Pichichi once over the course of his career, he remained the club’s top scorer for many years.

Number 6: Alfredo Di Stéfano with 227 goals

Alfredo Di Stéfano managed to score in every Champions League final between the years 1956 and 1960. He is commonly recognised as one of the greatest players of all time, and it was his arrival in Madrid that set the era of dominance in Europe overall and Spain in particular into motion.

Number 5: Raúl González with 228 goals

Raul Gonzalez was the captain of the Real Madrid team for 7 years, and his joining the team was the start of his now legendary career. He saw 16 seasons with the team, and one 6 La Liga titles along with 3 Champions League trophies while he was there.
