With the recent addition of an extra Designated Player slot to each Major League Soccer team, the Los Angeles Galaxy wasted no time in making a splash in the international market.

After considerable discussion and negotiation with Major League Soccer, the Los Angeles Galaxy, and AEG, Brazil’s Ronaldo has agreed to terms to make the move from Brazil’s Corinthians to Los Angeles.

“After discussing the Galaxy organization, the American way of life, and other details about the league with Juninho, Leonardo, and Alex (recent additions to the Galaxy squad and fellow Brazilians), I decided it was the right time to make the move”, said Ronaldo.

“We are thrilled about the addition of such a storied goalscorer to our organization”, said Head Coach/GM of the Galaxy, Bruce Arena.

No details of the deal have yet been released.
