UEFA Women’s EURO in 2017
The UEFA Women’s EURO for 2017 will begin in the Netherlands on the 16th of July. We have gathered all of the information you need about the expanded 16-team, 31-match extravaganza right here.
The List of Past winners
Germany won the UEFA Women’s EURO in 2013, 2009, 2005, 2001, 1997, 1995, and 1991, and West Germany took first place in 1989. Norway won in 1987, and Sweden stood first in 1984.
What Teams are Participating?
There are four groups of teams participating in the UEFA Women’s EURO:
- Group A: Netherlands (hosts), Norway, Denmark and Belgium
- Group B: Germany (holders), Sweden, Italy, and Russia
- Group C: France, Iceland, Austria and Switzerland
- Group D: England, Scotland, Spain and Portugal
This is also the first time that Portugal, Switzerland, Austria and Scotland have qualified, and Australian betting sites and those available worldwide are all eager to see the difference that these newcomers bring to the mix.
