The race for qualifying for the champions league is hotting up with a possible six teams competing this year. Chelsea is the dominant force in the EPL at the moment sitting top with an eight-point cushion. This week they are at home and take on Swansea which is a game they should win. We have seen it many times before though in the Premier League that no result in guaranteed and if they slip up the others are ready to pounce. With the Manchester City Vs, Manchester United along with the Southampton Vs Arsenal matches postponed there are only three of the top six teams playing this week. Leicester City Vs Liverpool
Leicester City is having the kind of season that everyone was expecting them to have last campaign when they won the EPL. With this type of form, you can understand why the bookmakers originally priced them at 5000/1 to win the title. The manager’s job is under threat and he has just survived a vote of approval by the board. They are having the exact same type of season that Chelsea had when they won the Premier League the year before. They are going to have to find the form that brought them all the glory if they are going to stand a chance against the Reds.
Liverpool is fantastic against the big clubs as they proved last week by beating Spurs 2-0. They problem is that they make too many slip ups against the lower league teams. With Leicester been the former champions hopefully that will be enough to fire the players up for this one. The Reds need the win to keep up in pace with the others chasing the Champions League spots and I think that they will get it.

Tottenham Hotspur Vs Stoke
The Spurs players will be desperate to bounce back after last week’s defeat away to Liverpool. It made a huge dent in their title aspirations and if they slip up again it will hinder their champion league qualification spot. This time around they are at home and should be too strong for Stoke.
Stoke got valuable points at Crystal Palace in their last match but it will be a lot more difficult playing at White Hart Lane. The manager and players would settle for a draw if you offered them it now. Expect a difficult game for them with the Spurs players fired up to put right last week’s bitter disappointment.

Chelsea Vs Swansea City
Chelsea have been lucky so far this season as every time they drop points so do their nearest rival and last week it was Spurs who did not capitalize. It was a shock result drawing against Burnley and they can not afford too many of those results if they are going to be crowned champions at the end of the season. They should be too strong at home against a struggling Swansea side.
The Swans are four points above the relegation zone and last week’s win over Leicester was extremely valuable. If they are going to survive they will need to pick up as many points as they can until the end of the campaign starting with Chelsea. Burnley proved it is possible to get something from the game, can Swansea do the same?
