Chelsea looked too good for anyone as they rolled past Arsenal 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Arsenal looked dangerous at times, but Chelsea’s efficiency and explosiveness was no match for the Gunners (no pun intended).

Drogba tallied two goals and is simply unstoppable when he is in form. He’s also more fun to watch than any other forward in the EPL except maybe Rooney. Could there ever be a pairing of Rooney and Drogba up front for one of the world’s biggest clubs? Eventually it will happen.

In a Mercyside derby, a short-handed Liverpool squeaked by Everton 1-0 on a nice header goal by Dirk Kuyt. American Landon Donovan had a more than solid performance, blazing by Liverpool defenders out wide numerous time to help set up dangerous goal-scoring opportunities.

Oh, and don’t forget, the U.S. plays El Salvador in a friendly soon. Don’t get too nervous, make sure to get some sleep, especially given that new U.S. Assistant Coach Jesse Marsch will be alongside Coach Bob and Mike Sorber on the U.S. bench. Is that a step in the right direction or what? You tell me…but I think not. But wait, Marsch played for Bradley at Princeton, so it makes perfect sense.
