Sunday was very disappointing because for the second time in two weeks we gave away a game we could have won.
It is alarming because at Fulham we were 1-0 up and we lost the game. At Swansea we got back to 2-2 and straight away we conceded a third goal. It was down to a lack of composure and the right decision-making and it’s a concern.
Swansea played well against us and I think we were unlucky with the penalty decision against Aaron Ramsey in the first half. But after that our defensive performance was not good enough and that’s why we lost the game.
When we got back to 2-2 with Theo Walcott’s goal I thought we could win because we were looking dangerous. Their keeper, Michel Vorm, kept them in the game at times with some excellent saves. Also we missed some unbelievable chances which were very difficult to understand and explain.
Once again our travelling fans were absolutely fantastic. They gave us tremendous support in Wales and it makes us even more sorry for them because we didn’t get the right result.
But we now have a massive opportunity to respond against Manchester United next Sunday – it is time for us to wake up and be focused.
