An early and prestigious win for Real Madrid vs. AC Milan

José Mourinho may have found his match of reference. Quite disappointing since the beginning of the season, Real Madrid finally played as a possible champion Tuesday evening versus AC Milan (2-0).

It is true that the most famous Italian team is not as strong as it was in the past. But still, a team able to present Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Pato and Ibrahimovic in the same starting eleven can’t be considered as an average team. The Spanyards were clearly more awaken that Allegri’s guys, the proof being the early goals of Cristiano Ronaldo (with a strange free-kick who made the wall disintegrate) and Mesut Özil (with the huge help of the unfortunate Bonera).

Teasing the audience after the game, José Mourinho regretted the absence of the “little” Kaka, making him sound as a rookie. Obviously, if the Brazilian finds his best form, the Galactic 2.0 will be hard to stop. I mean, Ronaldo is not unstoppable yet and Özil is still searching for landmarks. The performance of Milan is much more worrying. Ibrahimovic was invisible, Pirlo was not influent enough and Seedorf, as talented as he is, has not the same stamina than 10 years ago. With the win of Ajax versus Auxerre in the same time (2-1), the fate of this group is still unknown. Well, at least for the second qualificative ticket…
