TAMPA, Fla. – “USL Breakaway Magazine,” the fast-paced 30-minute highlight and feature show chronicling United Soccer Leagues and its system of elite-level amateur and professional leagues, makes its 2011 debut at 4 p.m. PST Wednesday on FOX Soccer Channel.  Blues fans have special reason for excitement, as Head Coach Charlie Naimo will be featured on the program.

With its season debut, “USL Breakaway Magazine,” hosted by the voice of USL, Kenn Tomasch, charts a new course in 2011. The show, in its sixth season, has become a year-round fixture featuring twelve monthly episodes thanks to a new three-year broadcast deal between USL and FOX Soccer Channel.

In this month’s episode, which originates from USL’s spacious new headquarters in Tampa, “USL Breakaway Magazine” previews the 2011 USL PRO season with a look at the twelve teams comprising the league’s American and National Divisions. USL President Tim Holt kicks things off with a look at how the show has grown into what it is today, before fans get a comprehensive preview of the 2011 Premier Development League, W-League, Super-20 League and Super Y-League seasons.

Another major aspect of the broadcast deal with FOX Soccer Channel is the USL PRO Game of the Week, with the Rochester Rhinos hosting the Harrisburg City Islanders this Saturday (June 11) at 2:30 p.m. PST in the first of ten national broadcasts.  The first replay of “USL Breakaway Magazine” airs at 2 p.m. PST Saturday, leading into the USL PRO Game of the Week, which is followed by the U.S. vs. Panama CONCACAF Gold Cup live telecast.
