The Federal Bureau of Tunisia’s Football Federation met in Tunis today and decided that the transfer window for the domestic league is to be extended until January 31st considering that hardly any team in the country has had time to focus on anything but the unsettled political
situation.

Meanwhile, it was also decided that the league would only resume at the end of February, after Tunisia’s domestic national team plays its part in the 2011 African Championship of Nations which ends on the 25th.

Thus, the local representatives of the Carthage Eagles will depart for Sudan 2011 without the benefit of having played any games with their club teams. It is not yet clear whether preparation matches have been scheduled in order for them to be in top shape once the tournament
kicks off on February 4th.
