PUMA’s Project Pink is Back for 4th Season 

Tis’ the season for a Pink takeover – how can you empower women this year? Every Fall mothers, husbands, daughters, sons, friends and athletes join together in the battle against breast cancer. For four seasons, sportlifestyle brand PUMA® has rallied behind the fight by encouraging consumers to get involved in Project Pink, the brands breast cancer awareness program kicking off once again in Fall 2013. Whether it is honoring a loved one, sporting Project Pink gear or voting for a charity; PUMA wants to hear and see you get behind #projectpink!

PUMA continues to pledge 100% of profits* from the sale of Project Pink gear and will donate $1 for every tweet and image posted on Instagram mentioning #projectpink. By utilizing multiple social sites, PUMA is empowering consumers to take a stand for those affected and lend their voice to the cause through every outlet imaginable. For the first time since its inception, Project Pink will commence voting directly through the online social site, Facebook. So come on all you pink wearers and lovers, let’s vote. Shop. Tweet. Instagram and Share!

For those who want to shop and support, the Project Pink Collection will be available at, and select PUMA stores across the country. The popular collection includes a range of apparel with a new camo-inspired print featured on many of the collection’s must have pieces. There is also a Project Pink soccer ball, shin guards and goalie gloves; great items for any soccer fan who wants to show their pink pride on and off the field!

PUMA will start voting beginning on Monday, September 16th. Fans of Project Pink must remember they have the power to vote for their favorite organization for the first time through the new Project Pink hub located at ( (Nominees include all registered and accredited active breast cancer charities and groups). The winner, and the final donation, will be announced at a PUMA event in October. We are very excited to see who will come out on top this year!

Beginning within the women’s soccer community, PUMA’s Project Pink program has grown to be a major initiative for the brand every fall soccer season. Past winners of PUMA’s donation include Magee-Women’s Foundation in 2010 and the Dr. Susan Love

Research Foundation in 2011 and 2012. World-class athletes, celebrity partners and PUMA athletes have all voiced their support from playing in soccer matches, tweeting, voting for their favorite charity and participating in Project Pink events.
