CARLOS CAETANO BLEDORN VERRI, former captain of the Brazilian team, FIFA
World Champion at USA 1994 , well known as “DUNGA”, will be awarded
with the GOLDEN FOOT for his career as a player on October 11th, in Monte
Carlo. Dunga, the unforgettable “Puppy” of the world of football,
center midfield who won twice the Copa America (1989 and 1997) and the
Confederations Cup 1997, was the captain of the team winning the FIFA
World Cup 1994, Brazil was waiting for 24 years, after the title (Rimet Cup) they got
in 1970. Carlos Dunga will leave his footprints on the CHAMPIONS PROMENADE
of Monaco, next to Brazilian International stars like Aldair, Nilton
Santos, Rivellino, Romario, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho and Zico.
