“Juventus is of another category” these were the words of Lecce’s couch Gigi De Canio at the end of the match. The impression is that finally Juventus are playing more as a team and yes, mechanisms are starting to flow smoothly.

This is also the third game in which the defense really did a great job, even though against Lecce it was practically never put to rigorous testing.Krasic, Felipe Melo (photo) and Aquilani have been instrumental for Juventus.
The Serbian is unstoppable on the wing, not only offering crosses but during this match we could admire his playing vision, able to create great dangers into the Lecce defense.

Melo is a completely new man. Del Neri’s cure worked wonders on him. He now feels secure and appreciated and these facts are boosting his morale, making him a key man in the heart of Juventus’ midfield.
Aquilani, it is no secret that this player has class. Scoring his very first goal with the ‘Bianconeri’ shirt, a missile from the edge of the box, he made the team flow through his geometries. The man that was missing last year is finally here and should he not experience any long term injuries, he will be able to offer much more.

History man Del Piero scored his 178th Goal in the Italian Championship matching the record of another legend Gianpiero Buoniperti. All honor to the Captain of a thousand fights!

If we had to search for dull spots in today’s super performance, I wanted to still highlight the inadequacy experienced by De Ceglie especially when he has to defend. Many a times the opponent’s most dangerous attacks come from his side. A noticeable problem is that he only uses the left foot which make him a very predictable player.

There is a hope named Traore (injuries permitting) and maybe Marotta is already on the look out for both right and left full backs to acquire either in the January transfer session or else at the end of the season.
As a final note, as expected, Krasic took the very first honor with Juventus as the best player of the month. All Juventus fans hope that this will be the very first one of a chain of successes which will mark the history of this glorious club.
