Two Inter goals before the twenty-minute mark told the story as Inter dominated most of the match, going on to win 3-0 in Abu Dhabi over African side TP Mazembe.

From the opening minutes it was clear that the Congolese underdogs would concentrate their efforts playing defense.  While this seems logical, what it in fact allowed was Inter to build offensive rhythm and momentum, which produced two early goals for the Italians.  With this deficit, TP Mazembe never stood much of a chance of victory.  They remained determined, but, aside from a short period of pressure in the middle of the second half, they never looked too threatening. A late Biabiany goal made the match 3-0, sealing the win for Inter Milan.

This is Inter’s fifth trophy of the year, but the team and coach Rafa Benitez face hefty challenges in 2011 of clawing themselves back to the top of the Serie A and attempting to defend their European Crown.
