Barca produced a breathtaking display at the Emirates on Wednesday night, playing a breed of football that Ruud Gullit used to call “sexy football”. Two goals in the second half from Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic put Barca 2-0 up before ex Southampton player Theo Walcott grabbed a goal back and then the equaliser from the spot from Fabregas.

A late penalty from Arsenal star player Fabregas rescued a draw against a vastly superior Barcelona side.

But at what cost? Midfield maestro Fabregas limped through the last 8 minutes of the game and is expected to miss the rest of the season. He joins the likes of Van Persie, Gallas and Aaron Ramsay on the injury list. Can Arsenal really get a result a Camp Nou without there most influential players. This proves to me the Arsenal squad needs strengthing to be there again next season challenging for the Premiership title and the Champions league. Okay they are still challenging this season but I have a feeling a thrashing at Camp Nou and a bad result against Wolves on Saturday will end those challenges.
